KXNT (840 AM) is a radio station licensed to North Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. It is owned by CBS Radio and carries a talk radio format〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=KXNT Facility Record )〕 The station's studios are located in the unincorporated Clark County area of Spring Valley, while KXNT's transmitter is located near Nellis Air Force Base and serves the greater Las Vegas area. KXNT is a Class B station operating on a clear-channel frequency; WHAS in Louisville, Kentucky is the dominant Class A station on 840 AM. So KXNT must reduce its power at night, to avoid interfering with WHAS's signal. Between August 16, 2010 and September 4, 2015, programming on KXNT-AM had been simulcast on its sister FM station KXNT-FM, 100.5 FM in the greater Las Vegas area. That station now airs a Rhythmic Hot AC format, while 840 KXNT continues with its talk format. In 2008 KXNT filed an application with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to move to a different transmitter site and decrease its night power to 10,000 watts.〔http://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/amq?list=0&facid=33068〕 KXNT is licensed to broadcast in the HD radio format, but the id as of Sept. 4, 2015 does not indicate an HD signal on the 840 AM frequency.〔http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/sta_det.pl?Facility_id=33068〕〔http://hdradio.com/station_guides/widget.php?id=15〕 ==History== KXNT signed on the air in 1986 with the call letters KVEG, and a talk/sports format. KVEG had a wide variety of drive-time talent including Sam Greenfield, Dominick Brascia, Lou Epton, Irwin Schiff and the syndicated Tom Leykis. In 1997, KVEG changed its calls to KXNT, with the "NT" standing for "News/Talk." Management was looking to head the station in a new direction. KXNT AM 840 began airing syndicating programs like Rush Limbaugh and Coast to Coast AM previously heard on rival station KDWN. Others included Dr. Laura and Bill Handel. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「KXNT (AM)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
